One lucky lady got a thanksgiving gift she did not expect when her Miniature Schnauzer was returned after 10 months on the missing list. News sources report that Antoinette McKinney last saw her dog on Christmas Eve 2010. She realized the dog did not follow her back inside after arriving home one evening and was no where to be found when she went to look for her.
McKinney returned home from the hospital after visiting her fifth grandchild when she got a call from the Arizona Humane Society, 10 months after the dog vanished. The shelter said the scraggly stray had been bought into the shelter a day earlier. A microchip in the dog saved the day when it identified it’s owner as Mrs McKinney.
